General rule
The future tense is formed with the particle ще, followed by the present tense. Unlike other tenses, negation in the future is not formed with не, but with няма да + present tense.

The future of "съм"
It is possible to use the same construction with съм, however it is more common to use a specific conjugation of съм for the future tense:

Там ли ще си? - Will you be there?
Той ще бъде баща - He will be a father
Perfective Aspect
The future tense requires the use of the perfective aspect. Remember that some verbs, like чета and пия in the examples above, do not have a perfective form. For the verbs that do, you need to use it:
Ще отида в Лондон - I will go to London
Няма да му кажа - I won't tell him
Note the use of the perfective forms отида and кажа in place of the imperfective forms отивам and казвам.
Useful expressions
Here are a few useful expressions to be used with the future tense:
- Утре: tomorrow
- Вдругиден: the day after tomorrow
- След* две седмици: in two weeks
- Следващата/другата* седмица: next week
- Следващият/другият* месец: next month
- Следващата/другата* година: next year
* след means "after" so this is literally: "after two weeks"
* друг typically means "other" but means "next" in this context
Using the present tense as a future
Like in English, it is sometimes possible to use the present tense as a future, as long as something else in the sentence makes it clear that it will happen at some point in the future:
Кога отиваш в Лондон? - When are you going to London? (When will you go to London?)
